Covid-19 sent thousands into lockdown and with it came boredom and loss of income. That led to many considering other ways to earn an income. Stories started surfacing on news sites from some of the top OnlyFans women that changed their careers and now earn tens of thousands of dollars. Clickbait? Maybe however these are real stories.
OnlyFans has reportedly been booming since lockdown, with a 75% increase in monthly sign-ups and gaining 150,000 new users every 24 hours.
People love success stories and here are a few of the top OnlyFans success examples;
Dannii Harwood from the UK claims to be the first woman in the UK to make more than £1 million revenue on OnlyFans.
Andrea Vasile Stage is pulling in more than $1 million from her OnlyFans account. Not bad for a former software engineer earning $60K a year.
Monica Huldt was featured in a story back in March. In less than 2 years she went from struggling to make ends meet to earning over $100,000 a year.
Kaya Corbridge a 23 year old from Lancashire went from being a broke student to earning over £30,000, per month on OnlyFans. In her first year alone she made £255,000 ($453,000 AUD, $326,400 USD).
Beth Spib, 24, of the UK a former fast-food employee set up an OnlyFans account which grew to 1000 subscribers in the first week. She now makes between $17,000 and $26,0000 a month.
Aussie OnlyFan Success
Jem Wolfie was reported to be the biggest celebrity on OnlyFans back in April 2019. Jem from Westerm Australia had the most fans back then with around 10,000 each paying $15 per month. Yes that is $150,000 per month earnings. In fact it said she had earned over $2 million since joining in August, just 8 months earlier. If the maths doesn’t seem to add up that is because the subscription is only one part of creators earnings.
Renee Gracie, Australia’s first female Supercar driver, found switching to OnlyFans was more lucrative than she could ever imagine. With around 10,000 subscribers she is earning up to $280,000 AUD per month. A big payday considering she was hoping to get just 500 subscribers. News articles about her and OnlyFans helped her to jump from around $90,000 a month to the current figures.
Celebrity Creates OnlyFans History
Bella Thorne, known for her role on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up”, was the biggest OnlyFans story of 2020. She earned over $1 million (USD) in her first 24 hours on the platform and $2 million (USD) in the first week. It does help that she was a celebrity before joining and therefore already had a big following. Bella has stated she will not post anything fully nude. She found herself in hot water after allegedly posting a $200 pay to view post that was supposed to be completely nude. After many of her subscribers paid $200 and found it was just her in lingerie a wave of chargebacks were sent to OnlyFans. Shortly afterwards new limits and wait times for earnings were introduced which prompted many creators to blame Bella Thorn for impacting their potential income.
Since launching in September 2016, OnlyFans has paid out more than $1 billion to creators, according to the company. The service currently has more than 50 million registered users and 700,000 content creators.
The real test is if anyone can earn on OnlyFans. It is easy to read these stories and think they just got lucky or they had connections/followers already. Reality can bite and hard. The fact is that a lot of people will try to make an income and fail. They may make some money but not enough to make it worthwhile.
Is It Just Sex?
Despite OnlyFans being open to all sorts of content creators the vast majority are women focusing on selling their looks. Everything from lingerie photos to full on hardcore sex scenes. Looking outside that there are fitness coaches, cooking gurus, musicians, business advisors and almost anything else you can imagine. In a strange way the other creators may have a better chance at succeeding as they do not have as much competition on the platform. The main growth on the platform is young females trying to make some easy money. Promoted well and with the right content the stories above show just how life changing it can be. For most though they will earn far less, maybe not life changing but sometimes life improving.

Potential new creators need to weigh up the disadvantages before they commit to signing up. Fans are not always giving positivity to the creator. Some of the things that creators sometimes have to deal with can include;
- Loss of privacy
- Body shaming
- Abuse
- Stalkers
- Pictures/videos shared outside OnlyFans
I guess the message is that you need to have a thick skin and not let the negative spoil the positive. Most creators generally have a positive experience but you have to be prepared. It is a good idea to talk to others that already are creators. They can help you with ideas and share their experiences with you good and bad.
